Our department offers doctoral education in the Department of History within the OMÜ Graduate School of Education. Doctoral studies are conducted in the fields of General Turkish History, Ancient History, Medieval History, Modern History, Contemporary History, and History of the Republic of Turkey. Student admissions to the doctoral program, which are based on the ALES exam administered by ÖSYM, the Foreign Language Exam Score recognized by YÖK, and the student's grade point average, are generally conducted at the beginning of each semester. The number of places available and other information are announced on the Graduate Education Institute website. The program consists of a course period equivalent to 24 credits, followed by a thesis process prepared under the supervision of an academic advisor. After successfully completing their thesis work, students graduate with a Doctorate in History.
